Briarcliff Development Company was founded by Mr. Charles Garney with the vision to create a community unlike any other in Kansas City. Situated less than 5 miles north of downtown, Briarcliff’s central location makes it one of the most convenient locations in the entire Kansas City metropolitan area. Great interstate access and just minutes from both downtown and the Kansas City airport make Briarcliff arguably the best place to work and/or live in Kansas City. Mr. Garney developed a beautiful community known as one of the “Best Neighborhoods in Kansas City” by offering high-quality residences near beautiful class “A” office space and boutique retail. These projects were created by following the company’s core values and philosophies:

The first phase of the Briarcliff Masterplan began in the late 1980's and early 1990's with the Briarcliff West residential community.  This was one of the first executive housing subdivisions north of the River and was  great success.  Phase II was the addition of class "A" office space in the early 2000's, and since then we've built over a half million square feet with room for more than a half million more.  Briarcliff Village was built in 2006 and offers a great mixed-use shopping/retial amenity for those that live and work in the area.  Lastly, Briarcliff Development is completing one of Kansas City's most premier apartment communities, and is planning a Marriot Hotel & Conference Center along with even more class "A" office space.

As the Briarcliff Development project grew, Briarcliff Realty Company was formed to lease and manage the portfolio. In a short matter of time this company began offering its services to other landlords in the Northland by utilizing our philosophies. Briarcliff Realty will continue to serve the development as they find new ways to grow the community.
